An Afternoon In The Adelaide Hills: Barossa Bowland & Dinosaur Mini Golf

I was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. It’s been my home for the past 25 years – minus the 8 months my partner Russell and I lived in Alice Springs! Unfortunately, I’ve realised I’m one of those people who has seen more of the rest of the world, than I have my own home town. So now that winter in Australia is over, spring has sprung and the sun has started to shine, I’m determined to see more of this beautiful city I call home! There is so much to see and do in Adelaide, and there’s certainly something for everyone. We may not have epic theme parks or an impressive city skyline to admire, but we do have many incredible beaches, enough vineyards to keep all wine lovers happy and an endless amount of beautiful national parks and greenery. There are also a surprising amount of things…

Best of USA Contiki Tour: LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas & NYC

Back in 2015, I made one of the biggest decisions I have ever made. After dreaming about visiting New York City for most of my life, I started to do some research. There wasn’t anyone who I could travel with, so I looked into solo travel. There are a ton of options available when it comes to safe and easy solo travel, but I decided to go with Contiki. I had previously heard a little about Contiki online, but not enough to make an educated decision right there and then. So I researched as much as I could on the topic, and spoke to some people I know had done a Contiki tour before. Eventually, I took a chance a booked my very first overseas solo adventure. Technically, I wasn’t traveling solo. There were over 20 other people in my Contiki group, most being fellow Australians, but there were a…

10 Reasons Why You Should Travel The World

I truly believe that everybody should travel at least once in their lives. Whether you explore your own city or hop on a plane to explore the world. Whichever form of travel you decide to embark on, it will be the most incredible experience of your life. You may have some hiccups and you might even miss home, but one of the most exciting reasons to travel the world, is learning more about yourself and the world around you, than you would any other way. Travel is the best form of education available. If schooling wasn’t compulsory, I would fully support the idea of taking children on overseas adventure, allowing them to make lifelong memories from all over the world. I do understand that not everybody is able to travel internationally. Some people aren’t financially stable enough to do so, and some are physically unable to fly. But travel doesn’t…

Two Days at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea

We’re both huge theme park and Disney fans. So as soon as we discovered that there is a Disneyland Resort in Japan, it instantly went straight to the top of our bucket list. Japan is home to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. DisneySea is the most unique Disney park in the world, and is absolutely a must-visit during your stay! Before visiting Japan, we had only been to California’s Disney Parks – Disneyland and California Adventure Park. Although we’ve both visited these parks multiple times, we unfortunately hadn’t widened our Disney horizons beyond Anaheim. That’s why we decided to spend a day at each of Tokyo’s Disney parks, starting with DisneySea! Two Days at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.
